Personality: Skylark is usually a chill dude. He does his very best to stay optimistic and accepting. He's not one for getting into fights, his usual place within the fight is his effort to break things up. He will, however, fight someone if he feels justified in doing so. However, it's hard to get Sky actually angry. The only way you could really achieve that is by hurting the people he cares about. He cares about his friends much more than he does himself, and ends up putting his problems on the backburner (which, as many of us know, is not the best idea). He loves to play video games, especially Animal Crossing and Assassin's Creed. As extroverted as he is, Sky is always willing to listen. He actually prefers one-on-one contact as opposed to a large group. He is also not opposed to cuddling (platonically. keep your clothes on around him, or he'll probably run away).

Sky can be a pretty scary person when he's angry. Normally, Sky is level-headed. When he's angry, Sky can stay level-headed (as level-headed as an angry person can be) and dish out some pretty hurtful things. He's got the muscle to cause some physical damage if he wishes. He can also be very clingy, and sometimes even possessive, but he shoves it all on the burner... behind the backburner. Sky doesn't like hurting others or being angry. He just wants to watch a good movie, take a walk in the woods and look at every flower along the way.

Appearance: As mentioned before, Skylark is tall, standing 6'1", but has a good amount of build to him. Not so far as to bulgy muscles, but toned enough to not be flabby. His skin is fairly pale from growing up in the Hia Valley. He has short, choppy, platinum blonde hair, and gunmetal blue eyes. His head is very triangular, with very defined cheekbones and chin. His nose is very straight, with no visible bumps, and his lips are pale and thin. Although he has lived in a snowy, winter-ish area for his entire life, he got the genes for permanently soft hands (the lucky duck).

As for clothing, Sky's been living in a place where it's always cold. He expected it wasn't nearly as snowy here, so he scrounged up all the summer-ish clothes he could find. He often wears a dark gray t-shirt with mid-length sleeves, and long denim jeans tht come over a pair of black army boots. If he must go to class, or something like that, he'll wear the standard Red Uniform. You will always find him wearing a light-gray/dark-gray striped scarf, and a necklace with a blue, teardrop pendant, regardless of his clothes.

Reason for Entering: Oh, you know parents. "Let's send our kid off to summer camp!" they said. "It'll be fun!" they said. He hopes. Sky's pretty optimistic about this whole thing, though. He's going to make new friends, and no one's going to stop him.

Background: When Sky was 14, his parents, both scientists, took on the project of hatchining an egg in a winter setting. They promised Sky that if the egg hatched, he could have the pokemon. Of course, the egg hatched into Pichu, which Sky named Chu. Chu has been with Sky ever since.

Nature: Relaxed

Moveset: Blizzard, Outrage, Draco Meteor, Surf
Background: Spirit is Sky's first ever pokemon, and their close bond reflects as such. Ever since Sky was little, he loved to take his father's Empoleon to explore the Almia Castle, across the lake. When Sky was 7, he started to notice a little dratini following him around. The two quickly became friends, and Sky decided to take him home. He named him Spirit, after his favorite movie.

Species: Glaceon (shiny)
Gender: Female
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Snow Cloak
Moveset: Ice Fang, Ice Beam, Avalanche, Shadow Ball
Background: Sky found Concordia not long after Chu had hatched. He found her as an Eevee, shivering in the cold. Sky brought her home and nursed her back to health. Concordia was quite bitter towards Sky for a long while, despite all Sky had done for her, but slowly, Concordia came to trust Sky.

Species: Sableye (baby!)
Gender: Female
Nature: Naive

Moveset: Zen Headbutt, Fury Swipes, Astonish, Sucker Punch
Background: Ruby is Sky's newest pokemon. She hatched on the ship heading to Sinnoh.

Written Example of your writing:

Skylark yawned. Where he was from, he would usually just be waking up. Darn timezones. He wouldn't let them get the best of him, or his pokemon. Except for Ruby, who was sleeping peacefully on his head. She just hatched. She was the exception.

"Heh, I'm going to stand out like the moon against a pitch black sky," he chuckled. Spirit nudged him with his head. "I'm not kidding! Do you know anyone else from the Hia Valley coming with me?" he said, crouching down next to the long, elegant dragon. "I'm probably the fairest skinned person who's gonna show up."

Sky walked through the gate. The facilities were nice -- 3 dorms for 3 age groups, a massive barn, even a school. Maybe summer camp wouldn't be so bad. If, y'know, he could get used to the time zones.
